Product Introduction

Mounjaro is a GLP-1 receptor agonist indicated for use when lifestyle modifications including diet and exercise do not provide adequate blood glucose control. The KwikPen is a prefilled, multi-dose pen designed for self-administration at home. Each pen contains four fixed doses of the specified strength; for example, a 2.5 mg pen holds a total of 10 mg of tirzepatide (4 doses × 2.5 mg), 0.6 ml each. Patients inject one dose per week, with each pen designed to last one month. A 2.5 mg Mounjaro pen contains four doses. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage exactly and not adjust doses manually, as the pen delivers fixed, pre-measured doses to ensure safe and effective blood glucose control. This GLP-1 medication is indicated for type 2 diabetes and should not be used for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients with a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2) must not use this treatment. Mounjaro should be used only under supervision of a qualified healthcare provider. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor of all medicines you are taking to avoid possible drug interactions. Monitor your blood sugar regularly and attend all follow-up visits so your doctor can assess your progress and adjust the dose if needed. Do not take this medicine without medical advice. If you experience any unusual symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.

Uses

Mounjaro 2.5mg KwikPen is approved for: Improves blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus through the action of a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Used in combination with diet and exercise for better glycaemic management. This GLP-1 medication may be used alone or together with other diabetes medicines, as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

How it works

Tirzepatide in this pen works as a GLP-1 receptor agonist, mimicking the action of two natural hormones in your body. These hormones help lower blood sugar in three key ways: by helping your body release insulin when needed, reducing how much sugar your liver produces, and slowing down how quickly food leaves your stomach. This GLP-1 mechanism helps you feel full for longer, reduces how much you eat, and keeps your blood sugar steady throughout the day.
