Product Introduction

Myelostop 500 Capsule is an anticancer medication containing hydroxyurea. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukaemia (cancer of white blood cells) and polycythemia vera (cancer of red blood cells). This medication works by slowing the growth and division of cancer cells. It is also used in sickle cell anaemia to reduce the frequency and severity of painful episodes and to prevent organ damage. Myelostop 500 Capsule is used to treat cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, melanoma (skin cancer), and head and neck cancer. Cancer is a disorder characterised by uncontrolled and abnormal multiplication of cells. The medication is indicated for sickle cell anaemia, an inherited blood disorder in which there is insufficient production of healthy red blood cells. This medication may be used to treat other conditions not listed here.

Inform your physician if you have any of the following before taking Myelostop 500 Capsule: blood disorders, severe anaemia, kidney disorders, liver disorders, gout, leg ulcers, folic acid deficiency, or intolerance to certain sugars.

How it works

In cancer, Myelostop 500 Capsule works by slowing down the growth and division of cancer cells, which can help to shrink tumors and prevent the spread of cancer to other parts of the body. This can lead to a reduction in the size and number of tumors, which may improve symptoms and increase survival rates. In sickle cell anemia, this medication works by increasing the production of fetal hemoglobin, which can help to prevent the abnormal shaping of red blood cells. This can reduce the frequency and severity of painful episodes, prevent damage to organs, and improve the overall quality of life. It also reduces the need for blood transfusions and hospitalizations. It prevents complications such as stroke, acute chest syndrome, and pulmonary hypertension.
