Product Introduction
Myelotib 150mg Tablet is an antineoplastic drug containing nilotinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is used to treat Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia (Ph-positive CML) in adults and paediatric patients. Treatment is indicated in patients newly diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) and in those who have experienced adverse effects from prior therapy. It is also used in patients with CML that no longer responds to previous treatment including imatinib.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to nilotinib or any other ingredients in this formulation. Inform your doctor if you have a history of cardiac conditions including myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, cerebrovascular accident, or claudication. Notify your doctor of any liver or pancreatic disorders, or deficiencies in potassium or magnesium. Disclose all current medications to your doctor, particularly those used to manage cholesterol levels. Inform your doctor of any history of hepatitis B infection, as this medicine may reactivate hepatitis B, which can be serious in some cases. Avoid consumption of grapefruit and grapefruit juice. If you have lactose intolerance or sugar malabsorption, inform your doctor before starting treatment.
During treatment with Myelotib 150mg Tablet, your doctor may order regular blood tests to monitor liver and pancreatic function, blood cell counts including white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. Cardiac monitoring including QT interval assessment, electrolyte levels, and glucose and lipid profiles will be conducted to assess tolerance to the medication. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Use effective contraception during treatment with this medicine.

How it works
BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase is responsible for the uncontrolled division of cells in the CML. Myelotib 150mg Tablet disrupts the signaling route of the protein kinase enzyme which targets the BCR-ABL protein and inhibits the growth and spread of cancer cells.
