Product Introduction

Mylimus 0.1% ointment 10gm contains tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant belonging to the calcineurin inhibitor class. It is used to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in adults for whom other medications are unsuitable or ineffective. Tacrolimus suppresses immune system production of substances that contribute to atopic dermatitis development.

Do not use this ointment if you are allergic to tacrolimus or any other ingredients in this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotic group. Disclose any history of liver failure, skin problems, skin cancer, or immunosuppression to your healthcare provider.

Seek immediate medical attention if you develop fever, bruising under the skin appearing as red dots, unexplained tiredness, confusion, yellowing of the skin or eyes, reduced urine output, vision loss, or seizures after using this medicine.

Limit exposure to sunlight and UV light while using Mylimus 0.1% ointment 10gm by wearing protective clothing and sunscreen with high sun protection factor. This precaution is necessary due to the potential risk of malignant skin changes associated with immunosuppressive therapy.

Do not apply this ointment to infected lesions or areas with active infection. Report any changes in skin appearance to your doctor immediately.

This medicine is not approved for use in children younger than 16 years of age.

Uses

Moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema)

How it works

Mylimus 0.1% ointment 10gm provides immunosuppression by inhibiting T-lymphocyte activation and proliferation and T-helper-cell-dependent B-cell response. It works by attaching to a protein called FKBP-12 and forms a complex called tacrolimus-FKBP, which inhibits the action of calcineurin phosphatase. This, in turn, inhibits the formation of T cells and suppresses the immune response.
