Product Introduction
Neovit D3 Tablet contains Alfacalcidol, a vitamin D analog. This medicine helps manage calcium levels in the body, particularly when deficiency or imbalance is present. Doctors prescribe Neovit D3 for conditions including osteodystrophy (bone changes due to kidney failure), hypoparathyroidism (low calcium caused by underactive parathyroid glands), hyperparathyroidism (high calcium from overactive glands), rickets, osteomalacia (bone softening due to calcium deficiency), and hypocalcaemia (low calcium levels) in newborns. Patients with a known allergy to Alfacalcidol or its ingredients should not use Neovit D3 Tablet. Special monitoring may be required for patients with kidney disorders, particularly those with kidney stones. Your doctor will assess kidney function before determining the appropriate dose. Neovit D3 Tablet is not suitable for patients with hypercalcaemia (excess calcium in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. Doctors sometimes prescribe phosphate binders or calcium supplements alongside this medication to maintain balanced mineral levels. This tablet affects both calcium and phosphate levels in blood, requiring regular blood tests for monitoring, especially in children, patients with kidney disease, and those receiving high doses. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. The safety of this medicine during breastfeeding is not well established.
