Product Introduction
Nostof 1gm injection is an antibiotic containing the active ingredient Cefazolin sodium. It belongs to the Cephalosporin class of medications. It is used to treat infections of the skin, joints, and bones caused by bacteria. These antibiotics function by killing the bacteria responsible for the infection. Nostof 1gm injection is also used as prophylaxis against infection before and after surgical procedures.
Do not use Nostof 1gm injection if you are allergic to Cefazolin sodium, other cephalosporin antibiotics, penicillins, other beta-lactam drugs, or any ingredient in the formulation. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of intestinal disorders, particularly colitis (inflammation of the bowel), kidney disease, or if you are on a low-sodium diet. Nostof 1gm injection is not recommended for premature infants or infants younger than one month of age, as safety in these populations has not been established. Discuss with your doctor the need for additional contraceptive measures while taking Cefazolin sodium, as certain antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of some oral contraceptives.
