Product Introduction
Nostof 500mg injection is an antibiotic containing the active ingredient Cefazolin Sodium. It belongs to the Cephalosporin class of medications. It treats infections in skin, joints, and bones caused by bacteria. The drug works by killing bacteria responsible for infection. It is also used as prophylaxis against infection before and after surgical procedures.
Do not use Nostof 500mg injection if you are allergic to Cefazolin sodium, other cephalosporin antibiotics, penicillins, other beta-lactam drugs, or any ingredients in the formulation.
Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of intestinal disorders, particularly colitis (inflammation of the bowel), kidney disease, or if you follow a low-sodium diet. Nostof 500mg injection is not recommended in premature infants or infants under one month of age, as safety has not been established in these populations.
Discuss with your doctor the need for additional contraceptive measures while taking Nostof 500mg injection, as certain antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of some oral contraceptive pills.
