Product Introduction

Novelon Tablet is an oral hormonal contraceptive containing Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol. It combines estrogen and progestogen hormones to prevent ovulation and avoid pregnancy. It is also used to manage dysmenorrhea (painful periods), which may cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, digestive issues, and irregular menstruation.

Do not take Novelon Tablet if you are allergic to Desogestrel, Ethinylestradiol, or any of its ingredients. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of breast cancer, liver or kidney problems, heart disease, migraines, diabetes, or blood clotting disorders.

Avoid this medicine if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding, severe blood vessel-related diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, very high cholesterol or triglyceride levels, liver tumors, pancreatitis, or certain hepatitis C treatments. It may increase the risk of blood clots, especially during surgery, long periods of immobility, or shortly after childbirth.

Tell your doctor if you have conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), sickle cell anemia, hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), varicose veins, or superficial thrombophlebitis. Avoid excessive sun or UV exposure if you develop chloasma (brown skin patches). Novelon Tablet is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.
