Novomix 30 Penfill 100IU contains insulin aspart and insulin aspart protamine. This is a combination of two insulin types: insulin aspart (rapid-acting) and insulin aspart protamine (intermediate-acting). It is used to treat diabetes mellitus, a chronic disease characterised by elevated blood glucose levels.

In diabetes, your body does not produce sufficient insulin to regulate blood glucose. Regular blood sugar monitoring using a home blood glucose meter (glucometer) is necessary. Prolonged elevated blood sugar may cause increased urination, thirst, nausea or vomiting, drowsiness or fatigue, abdominal pain, facial flushing, and fruity-smelling breath.
