Product Introduction

Oceva 10mg Injection contains Ranibizumab, a medicine belonging to the vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) antagonist group. It works by blocking the growth of abnormal blood vessels in the eye, helping to prevent vision loss caused by various retinal disorders.

Oceva 10mg Injection is mainly used for treating wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a condition that affects central vision and may make activities like reading, driving, and recognising faces difficult. It is also prescribed for myopic choroidal neovascularisation (mCNV), where abnormal blood vessels develop at the back of the eye due to severe nearsightedness.

This injection is also used to manage macular edema caused by retinal vein occlusion, diabetic macular edema (DME), and diabetic retinopathy, which are diabetes-related eye complications that can gradually affect eyesight. Ranibizumab helps reduce swelling and abnormal blood vessel formation, supporting better vision outcomes.

Patients looking for information about Oceva 10mg Injection uses, dosage, side effects, cost, or availability should consult an eye specialist for proper guidance, as the treatment schedule and frequency depend on the individual’s eye condition and medical needs.

Uses

Oceva 10mg Injection is used to treat several eye diseases causing vision impairment, including, Age-related macular degeneration Macular edema Diabetic macular oedema and retinopathy Myopic choroidal neovascularisation Retinal vein occlusion.

How it works

Oceva 10mg Injection specifically recognises and binds to a protein called human vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) present in the eye. In excess, VEGF-A causes abnormal blood vessel growth and swelling in the eye, leading to vision impairment in certain eye diseases. This medicine can block its actions and prevent this abnormal growth and swelling. This injection can help to stabilise and improve your vision.
