Product Introduction

Oncyclo 25mg capsule contains cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant medication. It is used to prevent organ rejection in patients with kidney, liver, or heart transplants. The medication works alongside other medicines to suppress the body's immune response against the transplanted organ. Following solid organ transplantation, the immune system recognises the donor organ's antigens as foreign and mounts an aggressive response. Immunosuppressive therapy is therefore necessary to prevent rejection.

Immunosuppressants increase the risk of skin cancer. Patients should limit sun exposure, wear protective clothing, and apply sunscreen with high SPF. Inform your doctor if you have recently received live vaccines.

Oncyclo 25mg capsule should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to cyclosporine or its components.

This medication can elevate blood pressure. Use with caution or avoid in individuals with uncontrolled hypertension or a history of high blood pressure.

Discussion of potential reproductive effects with your healthcare professional is important, particularly for individuals planning to conceive.

Blood glucose monitoring is important, especially for individuals at risk of diabetes.

Uses

Prevention of organ rejection (Kidney, liver, and heart) Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriasis

How it works

By suppressing the immune system, Oncyclo 25mg capsule helps prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. After organ transplantation, the immune system recognizes the transplanted organ as foreign and launches an immune response to attack and reject it. Oncyclo 25mg capsule inhibits the activation of T-cells, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses. This suppression of T-cell activity helps to prevent the immune system from attacking and damaging the transplanted organ, thereby increasing the chances of successful organ transplantation.

How to Use

It is an orally available prescription drug. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Oncyclo 25mg capsule based on the disease condition and other factors such as body weight and age. Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.

Expert Tips

When using Oncyclo 25mg capsule, it is important to take several precautions. These include monitoring infections, kidney and liver function, blood pressure, and neurological symptoms closely.
