Product Introduction

Ordula 100mg Injection is an antifungal medication belonging to the class of fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors, containing the active ingredient Anidulafungin. It is indicated for treatment of certain invasive fungal infections. It is effective against various types of invasive candidiasis, including candidemia (Candida bloodstream infection) and oesophagal candidiasis (fungal infection of the oesophagus). Invasive candidiasis occurs when Candida yeasts enter the bloodstream or other internal organs and cause systemic infections.

Ordula 100mg Injection is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug or its components. If patients develop liver problems during treatment, their doctor may elect to monitor liver function more closely. Ordula 100mg Injection is primarily metabolised in the liver, making regular assessment of liver function important, especially in patients with pre-existing liver conditions.

Uses

Treatment of invasive candidiasis (fungal bloodstream infections) Management of oesophageal candidiasis (fungal infection of the oesophagus) Effective against Candida species, including fluconazole-resistant strains Used in hospitalised patients with severe fungal infections Helps in immunocompromised patients (e.g., cancer, organ transplant recipients)

How it works

Ordula 100mg Injection (Anidulafungin) is an antifungal medication used to treat invasive candidiasis and oesophageal candidiasis. It works by inhibiting fungal cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of Candida species, including fluconazole-resistant strains. This injection is particularly beneficial for immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing chemotherapy or organ transplants, as it helps control severe fungal infections. By reducing symptoms like fever, chills, and organ dysfunction, Eraxis promotes faster recovery and lowers the risk of complications. Its broad-spectrum antifungal action makes it a crucial treatment option for systemic fungal infections.
