Product Introduction

Orlinz 600mg Injection contains Linezolid, an antibiotic belonging to the oxazolidinone class. It is indicated for treatment of serious bacterial infections including pneumonia, skin infections such as cellulitis and infected wounds, and infections caused by resistant organisms including MRSA and VRE. It may also be used in severe conditions such as meningitis or endocarditis when alternative antibiotics are ineffective. This medicine requires medical supervision during use. It is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to Linezolid and in those receiving certain antidepressants, due to the potential risk of serotonin syndrome, which presents with confusion, sweating, and muscle stiffness. Linezolid may cause reduction in blood cell counts; regular blood monitoring may be recommended by your doctor during treatment. Patients should seek immediate medical attention if they experience unusual symptoms including rashes, bruising, fatigue, or difficulty breathing. Orlinz 600mg Injection requires careful use in paediatric patients and older adults, particularly those with hepatic or renal impairment. Treatment should be administered according to your doctor's instructions, and doses should not be omitted or discontinued without medical guidance.

Treatment of several bacterial infections

How it works

Orlinz 600mg Injection works by stopping the bacteria from making proteins they need to grow and multiply. Without these proteins, the bacteria can’t survive, so the infection starts to clear up. It targets the bacteria without harming your body’s healthy cells, which makes it an effective treatment for tough infections, especially when other antibiotics don’t work.
