Product Introduction

Orvolox 500mg Injection contains Levofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections of the lungs, urinary tract, skin, sinuses, and prostate. It works by eliminating the bacteria responsible for the infection, helping relieve symptoms and promote faster recovery. Orvolox 500mg Injection should be administered exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional to ensure effective treatment.

Before using Orvolox 500mg Injection, inform your doctor if you are allergic to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, a history of seizures, or tendon disorders, and it is generally not recommended for children unless specifically advised by a doctor. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before starting treatment. Some patients may experience side effects such as nausea, dizziness, or headache. Avoid stopping the medication early, even if symptoms improve, as this may lead to incomplete treatment and antibiotic resistance.

Uses

Orvolox 500mg Injection is used to treat the following FDA-approved bacterial infections: Pneumonia (including community-acquired and hospital-acquired) Chronic bronchitis (acute bacterial exacerbation) Acute sinus infections (sinusitis) Urinary tract infections (complicated and uncomplicated) Kidney infections (pyelonephritis) Skin and soft tissue infections Prostate infections (chronic bacterial prostatitis) Inhalation anthrax (post-exposure) Plague (including pneumonic and septicemic plague)

How it works

This medicine works by stopping the bacteria from growing and multiplying. It targets a part of the bacteria’s internal structure that's needed for their survival and reproduction. Without this, the bacteria cannot repair themselves or multiply, which helps your body get rid of the infection. It doesn’t work on viral infections like the common cold or flu, so it should only be used for bacterial illnesses diagnosed by your doctor.

Side Effects

Common side effects: Nausea Diarrhea Headache Dizziness Trouble sleeping Rash Serious side effects (consult your doctor immediately): Tendon pain or swelling Irregular heartbeat Seizures Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face, throat, rash, difficulty breathing)
