Product Introduction
Oxra 10mg Tablet is an antidiabetic medication belonging to the sodium-glucose cotransport-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor class, containing dapagliflozin as the active ingredient. It is indicated for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients aged 18 years and above. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterised by elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycaemia). This medication is also approved for managing heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults, where it helps alleviate symptoms and decrease hospitalisation risk in heart failure patients. The primary action of this drug is to control elevated blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It should always be used alongside dietary modification and exercise. When blood sugar remains elevated and inadequately controlled, your doctor may prescribe this medicine in combination with other antidiabetic agents. Do not use this medication if you have an allergy to dapagliflozin or any other ingredients in Oxra 10mg Tablet. Notify your doctor if you develop urinary tract infections, as this medicine may increase UTI risk. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Your doctor will monitor kidney function at least annually, or more frequently if clinically indicated, during treatment. If you experience nausea, vomiting, fever, or are unable to eat or drink while taking Oxra 10mg Tablet, inform your doctor promptly. These conditions may result in dehydration, and your doctor may recommend temporarily stopping the medication until you have recovered. Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) can occur during use of this drug even when blood glucose levels appear normal. If you suspect symptoms of DKA, contact your doctor or proceed to the nearest hospital immediately without delay.
