Padcev 20mg Injection contains Enfortumab vedotin, an advanced antineoplastic drug from the class of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). It is used in the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer—a type of bladder cancer—in adults who have already received PD-1 or PD-L1 inhibitors and platinum-based chemotherapy. Padcev works by targeting a protein called Nectin-4, which is expressed in high levels in urothelial cancer cells. The drug delivers a cell-killing substance called monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) directly into cancer cells. Once inside, MMAE disrupts the cancer cell's internal architecture, leading to cell death. This targeted approach reduces exposure to healthy cells compared to conventional treatments. Padcev is not approved for patients under 18 years of age.
