Product Introduction
PegF 6 mg injection contains the active component pegfilgrastim 6 mg. It belongs to a class of proteins known as cytokines, which resemble granulocyte-colony stimulating factor produced naturally in the body. It is used to treat neutropenia (low white blood cell count) induced by chemotherapeutic drugs. Chemotherapeutic agents may reduce white blood cells, which function as the body's defence mechanism.
Inform your doctor if you experience left upper abdominal or shoulder pain during treatment. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to pegfilgrastim 6 mg injection, latex, or any other ingredients in this medicine prior to starting treatment. How it works
PegF 6 mg injection is a colony-stimulating factor that exerts its action by acting on blood-forming cells by binding to specific cell surface receptors, thereby inducing cell division, multiplication, and cell functional activation.
How to Use
The medicine will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. It is usually administered in the skin (subcutaneous). Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency based on your disease condition and other factors.
