Product Introduction

Perinorm Tablet contains Metoclopramide as its active ingredient. It is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders by increasing muscle contractions in the upper digestive tract, which accelerates food movement and reduces nausea and vomiting. This action is particularly relevant for patients with gastroparesis, a condition characterised by delayed stomach emptying. The medication is primarily eliminated through the kidneys. In patients with severe renal impairment, dosage adjustments are necessary. Abrupt discontinuation of Perinorm Tablet after prolonged use may result in withdrawal symptoms including nausea, vomiting, anxiety, and agitation. A healthcare provider should be consulted for guidance on tapering if required. Perinorm Tablet should be avoided in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Metoclopramide or any of its ingredients. It must not be used if there is known or suspected blockage or perforation in the gastrointestinal tract, as the medication could potentially worsen the condition or lead to complications. It should generally be avoided in patients with Parkinson's disease unless a healthcare professional has carefully evaluated the potential benefits and risks.
