Product Introduction

Pirfenex 600mg Tablet contains Pirfenidone, a medicine belonging to the transforming growth factor (TGF) inhibitor class. It is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a chronic lung disease in which lung tissue becomes scarred and thickened, making it difficult to breathe. Pirfenidone helps slow the progression of the disease and preserve lung function. This medicine should not be used by patients with severe liver or kidney disease, those taking fluvoxamine, or anyone allergic to Pirfenidone or its ingredients.

While taking Pirfenex 600mg Tablet, avoid drinking grapefruit juice, as it may interfere with the medicine’s action. Smoking should also be avoided because it can reduce the effectiveness of Pirfenidone. Some patients may experience side effects such as stomach upset, nausea, or increased liver enzyme levels. If severe symptoms such as dark or brown urine, unusual bruising or bleeding, or yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) occur, seek medical attention immediately. Your doctor may temporarily adjust or discontinue treatment if serious side effects develop.

Pirfenex 600mg Tablet can increase your skin’s sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, and wear protective clothing to reduce the risk of sunburn. If a suitable alternative is required, your doctor may recommend Fibrodone or another Pirfenidone-containing medicine based on your medical condition. Pirfenex 600mg Tablet is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
