Poscosafe 300mg Tablet

Poscosafe 300mg Tablet is an azole antifungal containing Posaconazole, used to treat and prevent certain fungal infections. It is commonly prescribed to prevent and treat invasive fungal infections in patients with weakened immune systems, including those undergoing cancer chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, or those with HIV/AIDS. It also treats certain fungal infections in patients who cannot tolerate or have not responded to other antifungal treatments.

Do not use this medication if you have known hypersensitivity or allergy to other azole antifungals such as ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, or voriconazole.

Before using Poscosafe 300mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have certain heart conditions including abnormal heart rhythm (long QTc interval), heart muscle weakness, heart failure, or any other heart rhythm disturbances. During treatment, if you experience severe kidney problems, diarrhoea, or vomiting, inform your physician immediately, as these conditions may affect the medicine's effectiveness.

Poscosafe 300mg Tablet may alter blood levels of potassium, magnesium, or calcium. If you have any electrolyte level abnormalities, your doctor will monitor you closely during treatment. If you are taking vinca alkaloid drugs such as vincristine or vinblastine for cancer treatment, inform your physician before starting this medication.

If you are pregnant, use this drug only if your doctor advises. Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine as it passes into breast milk and may affect the child.
