Prohype SR Capsule contains Propranolol, a beta-blocker that works by reducing the effects of stress hormones on the heart and blood vessels. It is commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), angina, irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), and to help protect the heart after a heart attack. It is also used for conditions such as migraine prevention, essential tremor, anxiety, thyrotoxicosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, phaeochromocytoma, and to reduce the risk of esophageal bleeding associated with liver disease.

Do not take Prohype SR Capsule if you are allergic to Propranolol or any of its ingredients. It is not recommended for people with uncontrolled heart failure, heart block, very slow heartbeat, severe low blood pressure, serious circulation problems, untreated phaeochromocytoma, metabolic acidosis, recent fasting, or Prinzmetal's angina.
