Product Introduction
Prugonist 2mg Tablet is a stimulant laxative that contains Prucalopride as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults. Chronic idiopathic constipation is a long-term condition characterized by infrequent bowel movements and difficulty passing stools without any known underlying medical cause. This medication is not intended for use in children or adolescents below 18 years of age. It should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to Prucalopride or any of the ingredients present in the tablet. Patients undergoing renal dialysis due to severe kidney impairment should avoid using Prugonist 2mg Tablet, as it may not be suitable for their condition. People with gastrointestinal disorders such as intestinal perforation, bowel obstruction, toxic megacolon, toxic megarectum, or severe inflammatory bowel diseases including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis should not use this medicine, as it may aggravate these conditions or increase the risk of serious complications. Patients with severe kidney or liver impairment should consult their healthcare provider before starting treatment. Inform your doctor if you are being treated for serious health conditions such as heart or lung disease, neurological or psychiatric disorders, cancer, AIDS, or hormonal imbalances before taking this medication. Prugonist 2mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing, consult your doctor before beginning treatment with this medicine.
