Product Introduction

Psorid 25mg Capsule 10's contains the active ingredient cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant medication. It is primarily prescribed to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone kidney, liver, or heart transplantation. It is used in combination with other medicines to prevent the immune system from rejecting the transplanted organ. After solid organ transplantation, the body triggers an aggressive immune response because it recognises the transplanted organ's antigens as foreign. Therefore, immunosuppressive agents such as cyclosporine are essential to prevent rejection.

Immunosuppressants can increase the risk of skin cancer, so limiting sun exposure, wearing protective clothing, and using sunscreen with a high sun protection factor is strongly recommended. Inform your doctor if you have recently received a live vaccine. This medication should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to cyclosporine or its components. Since this drug may elevate blood pressure, it should be used cautiously in individuals with uncontrolled hypertension or a history of high blood pressure.

Patients should discuss potential reproductive effects with their healthcare provider, especially if planning to conceive. Diabetes monitoring is important, particularly for individuals at risk. Awareness of potential side effects is important, as patients may experience hypertension, kidney dysfunction, increased hair growth, gum overgrowth, or increased susceptibility to infections. If Psorid 25mg Capsule 10's is not suitable, your doctor may recommend an alternative immunosuppressant based on your medical needs and treatment response.

How it works

By suppressing the immune system, Psorid 25mg Capsule 10's Capsule 10's helps prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. After organ transplantation, the immune system recognizes the transplanted organ as foreign and launches an immune response to attack and reject it. Psorid 25mg Capsule 10's inhibits the activation of T-cells, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses. This suppression of T-cell activity helps to prevent the immune system from attacking and damaging the transplanted organ, thereby increasing the chances of successful organ transplantation.
