Product Introduction

Ralead Tablet contains rabeprazole as the active component. This medication is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat conditions characterised by excess stomach acid production, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastric ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a rare condition marked by overproduction of stomach acid. Ralead Tablet helps manage symptoms associated with excess stomach acid, such as heartburn, regurgitation, chest pain, and acid indigestion. By reducing stomach acid levels, this medication can alleviate discomfort and improve quality of life for patients experiencing these symptoms.

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to rabeprazole or other formulation ingredients. Signs of allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. Use is not typically recommended in children under 18 years, as safety and efficacy in this age group have not been well established. Alternative treatment options may be considered for paediatric patients with similar conditions.

Ralead Tablet can potentially increase blood levels of methotrexate, a medication used in the treatment of certain cancers and autoimmune diseases. Co-administration with high-dose methotrexate is not recommended due to the potential for increased methotrexate toxicity.
