Product Introduction
Rantac injection contains ranitidine as its active ingredient. It is an H2 receptor antagonist used to treat heartburn, indigestion, and acid indigestion by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers.
Inform your doctor if you are over 65 years of age before starting treatment with this medication. Do not use Rantac injection if you are allergic to ranitidine or any other ingredient in the formulation. Notify your doctor if you have heart or kidney conditions. Before commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, lung disease, immune system disorders, acute porphyria, or a history of stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer.
Common side effects of Rantac injection include nausea, headache, stomach pain, and constipation. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Patients with impaired kidney function may require a lower dose as prescribed by your doctor.

Heals and prevents ulcers in the stomach or duodenum. Improves symptoms of acid-related issues like indigestion or heartburn. Stops ulcers from bleeding. Controls stomach acid during surgery under anesthesia.
How it works
Rantac injection reduces stomach acid production by blocking the action of histamine, a substance that triggers acid secretion in the stomach. This relieves symptoms caused by excess stomach acid, like heartburn and acid indigestion.
How to Use
Rantac injection will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. It is usually administered in a vein (intravenous). Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency based on your disease condition and other factors.
