Reatix Kit Tablet

Reatix Kit tablet contains the active substances atazanavir, emtricitabine, ritonavir, and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Atazanavir and ritonavir are antiviral medicines belonging to the protease inhibitor class. Emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate are antiretroviral medicines classified as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). This medicine is indicated for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. It functions by inhibiting HIV reverse transcriptase, an enzyme essential for viral replication. This medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Do not use Reatix Kit tablet if you have experienced allergic reactions to atazanavir, emtricitabine, ritonavir, tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or any of its components. During treatment with atazanavir, emtricitabine, ritonavir, and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, cardiac, hepatic, and renal parameters to prevent serious complications. Inform your doctor of any history of cardiac conditions (PR prolongation), hypersensitivity reactions (severe skin eruptions or Stevens-Johnson syndrome), pancreatitis, bone disease (osteoporosis), hepatic disease (chronic hepatitis B or C), or renal problems. Inform your doctor if you are 65 years of age or older. Patients using this medicine may develop immune reconstitution syndrome, diabetes mellitus, lipodystrophy, and hyperbilirubinaemia. Reatix Kit tablet should not be administered to patients with existing renal impairment. Inform your doctor if you are on a phosphate-restricted diet, as this medicine contains phosphate. If you have lactose intolerance, notify your doctor before commencing treatment. Inform your doctor if you are planning pregnancy or suspect you may be pregnant. Breastfeeding is not recommended owing to the potential for HIV transmission. Use effective contraception to prevent transmission of HIV infection.

Treatment HIV infection

Atazanavir and Ritonavir inhibit the viral enzyme (protease). Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate inhibit the enzyme reverse transcriptase; inhibiting these enzymes blocks the multiplication of the virus and prevents the release of viral particles in the body to treat the HIV infection

Reatix Kit tablet are film-coated tablets. The usual recommended dosage of this medication is one tablet every day, without or with food. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person. Do not chew, crush, dissolve or break the tablet.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Inform your doctor about your underlying infections. If you have advanced HIV (AIDS), you may develop signs of infection and inflammation or worsen the signs of an existing infection once treatment is started. Report your doctor for side effects. It is very mandatory to tell your medical professional if you are consuming other medicines that may damage your kidneys. Always consume the dose recommended by your doctor. Reatix Kit tablet does not reduce the risk of transferring on HIV to others through sexual contact or blood contamination. You must continue the medication to avoid this complication. Most patients experience asymptomatic increases in hyperbilirubinemia (increase in bilirubin).
