Product Introduction

Relibeta 30mcg injection contains the active substance Interferon beta-1a, an immunomodulator. Interferons are natural proteins produced by the body to defend against infections and diseases. The protein in Relibeta 30mcg injection is identical to that naturally occurring in humans. This medication treats relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune condition affecting the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Use of Relibeta 30mcg injection is not recommended in children and adolescents due to limited effectiveness and safety data in this age group, particularly in children below ten years old.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Interferon beta-1a or any of its ingredients, have severe depression, suicidal thoughts, uncontrolled epilepsy, serious kidney or liver problems, low white blood cell or platelet count, heart problems, or irritation at the injection site. Report any mood changes, suicidal thoughts, or worsening of existing conditions to your doctor. Open communication with your doctor regarding your medical history and current medications is important for safe use of Relibeta 30mcg injection.

Uses

Multiple sclerosis

How it works

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the nerve damage in the brain and spinal cord. In this condition, the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its myelin, the protective covering around nerve fibers. When myelin is damaged, the link between the brain and other body parts is disrupted, leading to MS symptoms. Relibeta 30mcg injection operates by inhibiting the immune system's attack on myelin. By doing so, it diminishes the frequency and intensity of relapses and hinders the progression of disability in individuals with multiple sclerosis.

How to Use

You can inject Relibeta 30mcg injection yourself without the help of your doctor if they have trained you to do this. Perform the first injection under the supervision of an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. If you have trouble handling the syringe, ask your doctor, who may be able to help. Your physician will decide the dosage and frequency based on the severity. Inject at a different site each time to avoid the risk of skin and muscle irritation. Please do not use it on a bruised, sore, infected, or wounded part of the skin. The injection should be kept at room temperature for half an hour before use. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and dry them. Keep sticking plasters and alcohol wipes handy in case you need them. Your doctor will tell you how long you must keep using Relibeta 30mcg injection.
