Renocrit 10000 IU Injection

Renocrit 10000 IU Injection contains recombinant human erythropoietin alfa (epoetin alfa) as its active component. It is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) indicated for treatment of anaemia caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer chemotherapy, or HIV infection treated with zidovudine. The injection also reduces the requirement for red blood cell transfusions in patients at high risk of blood loss from planned surgery or other procedures.

Renocrit 10000 IU Injection is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug or any component, uncontrolled hypertension, active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), pure red cell aplasia (PRCA), uncontrolled seizures, pregnancy, or lactation. Caution is advised in patients with history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, liver disease, thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukaemia, or cancer. Use in children under 18 years requires that benefits outweigh risks. Older adults require close monitoring for adverse effects during treatment with this medication.

Do not self-inject this medication It should only be injected by a doctor or nurse. If you experience any side effects, tell your doctor immediately. Be careful when getting up from a sitting or lying position to avoid dizziness. Drink plenty of fluids to help prevent dehydration, which can increase your risk of blood clots.
