Repomia 6000IU Injection

Repomia 6000IU injection contains recombinant human erythropoietin alfa (epoetin alfa), an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). It is indicated for the treatment of anaemia caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer chemotherapy, or HIV infection treatment with zidovudine. The injection also reduces the requirement for red blood cell transfusions in patients at high risk for blood loss during planned surgery or other procedures.

Repomia 6000IU injection is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any component of the formulation, uncontrolled hypertension, active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), pure red cell aplasia (PRCA), uncontrolled seizures, pregnancy, or lactation.

Caution is advised when administering this medication to patients with a history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, liver disease, thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukaemia, or cancer. Use in children under 18 years should be considered only when the potential benefits justify the risks. Older adults receiving this medication require close monitoring for adverse effects.

Do not self-inject this medication It should only be injected by a doctor or nurse. If you experience any side effects, tell your doctor immediately. Be careful when getting up from a sitting or lying position to avoid dizziness. Drink plenty of fluids to help prevent dehydration, which can increase your risk of blood clots.
