Product Introduction
Revlamer 400mg Tablet contains sevelamer as its active ingredient. It is a phosphate binder used to manage hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphate levels) in adult patients undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) and patients with chronic kidney disease presenting with elevated serum phosphorus levels. It should be used alongside other treatments, including calcium supplements and vitamin D, to help prevent bone disease. Elevated blood phosphorus can lead to calcification, where mineral deposits accumulate and stiffen blood vessels, impairing circulation.
Do not take Revlamer 400mg Tablet if you are allergic to sevelamer or any other ingredients in the formulation. Avoid this medicine if you have hypophosphatemia (low phosphate levels) or bowel obstruction.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you experience difficulty swallowing or have impaired gastric and bowel motility. Also disclose if you have active bowel inflammation or a history of major gastrointestinal or bowel surgery.
Revlamer 400mg Tablet is not recommended for children under six years of age due to insufficient safety and efficacy data in this age group. If you have been advised by your doctor about sugar intolerance, consult with your doctor before taking this medication, as the tablet contains lactose.
