Revlamer 800mg Tablet

Categories: Nephrology

Conditions: Kidney Disease

Product Introduction

Revlamer 800mg Tablet contains the active ingredient sevelamer, a phosphate binder. It is used to manage hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphate levels) in adult patients undergoing dialysis (haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) and patients with chronic kidney disease presenting with elevated serum phosphorus levels. It should be used alongside other treatments, including calcium supplements and vitamin D, to help prevent bone disease. High blood phosphorus levels can cause calcification, in which hard deposits accumulate and stiffen blood vessels, compromising blood flow.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to sevelamer or any ingredients in Revlamer 800mg Tablet. Avoid use if you have low phosphate levels or bowel obstruction.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing or if your stomach and bowel have problems with food movement. Also inform your doctor if you currently have bowel inflammation or have undergone major stomach or bowel surgery.

Revlamer 800mg Tablet is not recommended in children under six years of age, as safety and efficacy have not been established in this age group. If your doctor has advised you regarding sugar intolerance, consult your doctor before taking this medication, as it contains lactose.
