Ringard Tablet

Ringard tablet contains two active ingredients: N-Acetylcysteine and Taurine. It is indicated for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease, a condition that may occur as a consequence of diabetes or elevated blood sugar levels. If untreated, diabetic kidney disease may progress to kidney failure. This medication is also used in the management of lung diseases including chronic bronchitis, as it facilitates the breakdown and thinning of airway mucus, thereby easing expectoration. N-Acetylcysteine additionally provides protection against certain pharmaceutical agents, including paracetamol (acetaminophen), by reducing the risk of hepatic damage secondary to overdose or toxicity. Ringard tablet is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the medication or any of its components. Use should be avoided in conjunction with topical antibiotics for the management of dry eye syndrome, as this combination may increase the risk of severe adverse reactions. Consultation with your physician is recommended to determine appropriate treatment options for keratoconjunctivitis and dry eye syndrome. This medication is not recommended during a severe and acute asthma attack. Patients with asthma require close monitoring during treatment with this medicine. Notify your physician if any symptoms develop. Inform your doctor of any existing cardiac, thyroid, renal, or hepatic disease. Your physician may prescribe a reduced dose and perform regular blood investigations. Use of Ringard tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding is generally not recommended unless medically necessary.

Treatment of diabetic kidney disease

N-Acetylcysteine and Taurine work by slowing down the process of kidney cell damage and improving kidney function. These tablets are particularly beneficial in preventing the progression of microalbuminuria (the presence of small amounts of albumin in the urine) in patients with diabetic kidney disease.

Take the Ringard tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.

Ensure you maintain adequate hydration throughout the treatment, as both Ringard tablet may impact fluid balance in the body.
