Product Introduction

Rockbon PTH Pen Injection contains teriparatide as its active ingredient. It is a synthetic form of parathyroid hormone (PTH), a hormone produced by the parathyroid glands, and is used in the treatment of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is characterised by weakened bone structure, which increases the risk of fractures. Fractures resulting from osteoporosis can significantly impact a patient's quality of life, leading to pain and reduced mobility. Rockbon PTH Pen works by stimulating the formation of new bone tissue and increasing bone mineral density. This medication has demonstrated efficacy in accelerating bone healing in patients with fractures. It promotes callus formation—the initial new bone structure that develops during the healing process—resulting in faster and more complete recovery. Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Rockbon PTH Pen Injection or any of its components should not use this medication. Use is contraindicated in patients with a history of skeletal malignancies, such as osteosarcoma, or those with bone metastases. In patients who have undergone prior radiation therapy to the skeleton, this medication is not recommended due to the potential risk of osteosarcoma development.

Uses

Postmenopausal osteoporosis Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis

How it works

Rockbon PTH Pen Injection exerts a therapeutic effect by stimulating the formation of new bone tissue and increasing bone mineral density. By activating osteoblasts, the cells responsible for bone formation, bone strength is enhanced, fracture risk is reduced, and bone healing is promoted. It offers significant benefits such as increased bone density, fracture risk reduction, and improved quality of life, and it serves as an alternative for individuals who have not responded well to other osteoporosis treatments.

How to Use

Rockbon PTH Pen Injection is typically administered by a healthcare professional. It is usually given as an injection. The healthcare provider will determine the dosage and duration of treatment based on the specific infection and individual factors.
