Sacuval 50mg Tablet

Sacuval 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredients Sacubitril and Valsartan. It belongs to the class of cardiovascular medicines known as angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitors (ARNIs). This medicine is used to treat certain types of chronic heart failure in adults. It is often prescribed along with other heart medications to help reduce the risk of hospitalization and death in adults with specific forms of heart failure.

Do not take Sacuval 50mg Tablet if you are allergic to Sacubitril, Valsartan, or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Avoid using this tablet if you currently have or have ever experienced angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat that may cause breathing difficulty). This medicine should also not be taken if you have diabetes or impaired kidney function and are receiving treatment with a blood pressure-lowering medicine containing Aliskiren. Do not use this tablet if you have severe liver disease or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about any other heart medications you are taking before starting treatment. Also, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure, severe kidney disease, dehydration, liver problems, hallucinations, or sleep disturbances. The most common side effects of Sacuval 50mg Tablet include low blood pressure (hypotension), increased potassium levels, cough, dizziness, and kidney failure.

Sacubitril is a prodrug metabolized to the active metabolite, which inhibits neprilysin, thereby increasing levels of peptides (such as natriuretic peptides). It works to help control blood volume. Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that selectively blocks the AT1 receptor and inhibits angiotensin-II-dependent aldosterone release. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Your physician will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity and other factors. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. You can take Sacuval 50mg Tablet with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or split the tablets.

This medicine could lower your blood pressure too much, especially when you first use it or if you are dehydrated. Stand or sit up slowly if you feel dizzy or lightheaded.
