Product Introduction

Sandimmun Neoral 25mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Cyclosporine, an immunosuppressant medication. It is primarily indicated to prevent organ rejection in patients following organ transplantation, including kidney, liver, or heart transplants. It is used alongside other medicines to prevent the body's immune system from rejecting the transplanted organ. Following solid organ transplantation, the body mounts an immune response recognizing the transplanted organ's antigens as foreign. Immunosuppressive treatment is therefore necessary after organ transplant to prevent rejection. Beyond transplant medicine, Sandimmun Neoral is also prescribed for autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis when other treatments have not been effective. The Sandimmun Neoral 25mg formulation is designed to suppress overactive immune activity, thereby protecting the transplanted organ and reducing inflammation in autoimmune diseases. Patients should adhere to the exact Sandimmun Neoral 25mg dosage prescribed by their doctor. Depending on the condition, alternative formulations and substitutes may be considered for patients requiring different presentations. This medicine plays an important role in supporting long-term success of organ transplants and in managing severe autoimmune conditions including psoriasis.

How it works

By suppressing the immune system, Sandummun Neoral 25mg Capsule helps prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. After organ transplantation, the immune system recognizes the transplanted organ as foreign and launches an immune response to attack and reject it. Sandummun Neoral 25mg Capsule inhibits the activation of T-cells, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses. This suppression of T-cell activity helps to prevent the immune system from attacking and damaging the transplanted organ, thereby increasing the chances of successful organ transplantation.
