Product Introduction

Sclerifuma DR 120mg Capsule is an immunosuppressant containing the active ingredient Dimethyl Fumarate. This medication is indicated for relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis, including relapsing-remitting and active secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. It reduces the frequency of relapses and slows disease progression.

Sclerifuma DR 120mg Capsule is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Dimethyl Fumarate or any component of the formulation.

Before starting treatment with Sclerifuma DR 120mg Capsule, your doctor will perform essential tests to assess white blood cell counts and liver and kidney function. Periodic monitoring will continue throughout treatment.

Inform your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, stomach or bowel conditions, or serious infections such as herpes zoster. These conditions require discussion with your physician before treatment initiation.

Sclerifuma DR 120mg Capsule may be used in children and adults aged 13 years and above.

Do not use this medication if you have suspected or confirmed progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a rare brain infection.

Your doctor will prescribe this medicine during pregnancy only if necessary. If you are pregnant, suspect pregnancy, or are planning pregnancy, inform your doctor before starting treatment.

It is unknown whether this medicine passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor regarding breastfeeding before use.

Uses

Treat relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS)

How it works

Dimethyl Fumarate is thought to work by activating a pathway called the Nrf2 pathway, which helps to protect cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. It can reduce inflammation in the central nervous system, which is a key factor in the progression of Multiple sclerosis (MS).

Take the Sclerifuma DR 120mg Capsule as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the capsule if your doctor advises you to stop.
