It is classified as a nutritional supplement and is used to treat and prevent vitamin and nutritional deficiencies in the body. This medication may also be indicated for vitamin B6 deficiency, anaemia, peripheral neuropathy, seizures, and hereditary disorders including hyperoxaluria and homocystinuria.
