Product Introduction
Semi Reclimet 40mg/500mg tablet contains two active ingredients: Gliclazide 40mg and Metformin 500mg. It is an anti-diabetic medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, or single-drug therapy does not sufficiently control blood sugar levels. The tablet works by controlling blood glucose levels.
Common side effects include hypoglycaemia, vomiting, metallic taste in the mouth, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and constipation.
This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents.
Do not take Semi Reclimet 40mg/500mg tablet if you have an allergy to Gliclazide, Metformin, or any ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medication if you have diabetic ketoacidosis, pre-coma, kidney failure, or kidney dysfunction.
Inform your doctor before starting treatment if you have acute conditions that may affect kidney function, such as dehydration, shock, or severe infection. Notify your doctor if you have conditions reducing oxygen supply to tissues, including heart failure or respiratory failure. Do not use this medicine if you have liver failure, are undergoing ongoing treatment with miconazole, or are breastfeeding.
Avoid alcohol while taking Semi Reclimet 40mg/500mg tablet, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis and hypoglycaemia.
Before commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, or liver disease. Also notify your doctor if you are undergoing radiologic studies involving iodinated contrast materials administered intravenously, as these materials may affect kidney function in some cases.
