Conditions: Nutrient Deficiency

Product Introduction

Septa D3 Capsule contains Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), a vitamin D analog used to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency occurs when dietary or lifestyle intake is insufficient or when the body requires additional vitamin D, such as during pregnancy. It is also used to treat certain bone conditions, including osteoporosis (thinning of bone), when administered with other medicines.

Do not use Septa D3 Capsule if you are allergic to Cholecalciferol or any ingredient in this medicine. Avoid this medicine if you have elevated vitamin D levels (hypervitaminosis D) or elevated calcium levels (hypercalcaemia or hypercalciuria) in blood, or if you have kidney stones or serious kidney disease.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seeking medical advice before taking this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding is essential. Extra vitamin D should not be taken without your doctor's supervision, as it may harm your baby. Due to their high strength, Cholecalciferol 20,000 IU capsules are not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Before taking Septa D3 Capsule, notify your doctor if you have kidney damage, are receiving heart disease treatment, have sarcoidosis, or are already taking additional calcium or vitamin D doses. Your doctor will monitor blood calcium levels during treatment. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Inform your doctor about pre-existing kidney conditions before starting treatment. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
