Product Introduction

Septacarb Injection 10ml contains Ferric Carboxymaltose as its active ingredient. It is also indicated for adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are not undergoing dialysis and require iron replacement. This medicine is not recommended for children younger than one year of age.

Do not use Septacarb Injection 10ml if you are allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any of its ingredients. It should also be avoided if you have anaemia that is not caused by iron deficiency, iron overload, or disorders that affect the body's ability to utilize iron. Before receiving this injection, inform your doctor if you have rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infections, liver disease, or low phosphate levels in the blood. Improper administration may lead to irritation or long-lasting skin discoloration at the injection site. Inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting treatment. Common side effects include nausea, high blood pressure, flushing, injection site reactions, skin rash, vomiting, and dizziness. Also, tell your doctor if you have previously experienced severe allergic reactions to any injectable iron preparations.
