Conditions: Iron Deficiency

Product Introduction

Septafer Injection 5ml contains Iron Sucrose as its active ingredient. It is an anti-anaemic medicine belonging to the O-glycosyl compounds class and is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia (IDA), especially in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Iron deficiency anaemia develops when the body does not have enough iron to produce healthy red blood cells, resulting in reduced oxygen transport throughout the body.

Septafer Injection 5ml should not be used in individuals who are allergic to iron sucrose or other injectable iron preparations. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, or liver disease. This medicine is also contraindicated in patients with anaemia not caused by iron deficiency, conditions associated with excess iron in the body, or disorders that impair iron utilization. Your healthcare provider will carefully assess your condition and monitor you for any serious adverse reactions during treatment. The safety of this medicine has not been established during the first trimester of pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning a pregnancy, or think you may be pregnant before receiving Septafer Injection 5ml.
