Product Introduction

Septapress 5mg Tablet contains Prazosin as its active ingredient. It is an antihypertensive medicine that belongs to the class of alpha-1 blockers. This medication is prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition in which an enlarged prostate causes urinary difficulties. In some cases, it may also be prescribed off-label to help manage nightmares associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Do not take Septapress 5mg Tablet if you are allergic to prazosin, other quinazoline medicines, or any of its ingredients. This medicine is generally not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially if you have heart failure caused by other heart conditions, a history of fainting after urination, liver or kidney disease, or if you are planning to undergo cataract surgery. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to conceive, consult your healthcare provider before taking Septapress 5mg Tablet.

How it works

Septapress 5mg tablet works by blocking the alpha-1 receptors in the smooth muscles of blood vessels and the prostate. This relaxation of smooth muscles results in the dilation of blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and improving urine flow in men with BPH.

How to Use

Take the Septapress 5mg tablet as your physician advises. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.
