Product Introduction
Sevanef 400mg tablet contains the active ingredient Sevelamer, a phosphate binder. It is used to manage hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphate levels) in adult patients undergoing dialysis (haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) and patients with chronic kidney disease who have elevated serum phosphorus levels. Use should be combined with other treatments, including calcium supplements and vitamin D, to prevent bone disease. Elevated blood phosphorus can cause calcification, where hard deposits form in blood vessels, reducing blood flow.
Do not use Sevanef 400mg tablet if you are allergic to Sevelamer or any ingredient in the medication. Avoid this medicine if you have low phosphate levels or bowel obstruction.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing or if your stomach and bowel have problems moving food. Also inform your doctor if you currently have bowel inflammation or have undergone major stomach or bowel surgery.
Sevanef 400mg tablet is not recommended for children under six years of age due to insufficient data on its safety and effectiveness in this age group.
If your doctor has advised you about sugar intolerance, consult your doctor before taking this medication, as it contains lactose.

How it works
Sevanef 400mg tablet functions by binding phosphate from ingested food within the digestive tract, thereby reducing phosphorus levels in the bloodstream.
How to Use
Take the Sevanef 400mg tablet as your physician advises. Take medicine at a fixed time. It is given based on the level of phosphate in the blood. Usually, it is given three times a day with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises.
