Product Introduction
Sevanix 400mg tablet contains sevelamer, a phosphate binder. It is indicated for the management of hyperphosphatemia in adult patients receiving dialysis (haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) and patients with chronic kidney disease presenting with elevated serum phosphorus levels. It should be used alongside other treatments, including calcium supplements and vitamin D, to help prevent bone disease. Elevated blood phosphorus can lead to calcification, wherein hard deposits accumulate and stiffen blood vessels, compromising blood flow.
Do not take Sevanix 400mg tablet if you are allergic to sevelamer or any other ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medicine if you have low phosphate levels or bowel obstruction.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you experience difficulty swallowing or have impaired gastrointestinal motility. Also inform your doctor if you have active bowel inflammation or a history of major gastrointestinal surgery.
Sevanix 400mg tablet is not recommended in children under six years of age due to insufficient safety and efficacy data in this age group.
If your doctor has identified a sugar intolerance in you, consult your doctor before taking this medication, as the tablet contains lactose.

How it works
Sevanix 400mg tablet functions by binding phosphate from ingested food within the digestive tract, thereby reducing phosphorus levels in the bloodstream.
How to Use
Take the Sevanix 400mg tablet as your physician advises. Take medicine at a fixed time. It is given based on the level of phosphate in the blood. Usually, it is given three times a day with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises.
