Product Introduction
Sevocip 800mg tablet contains the active ingredient Sevelamer, a phosphate binder used to manage hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphate levels) in adult patients on dialysis (haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis) and in patients with chronic kidney disease presenting with raised serum phosphorus. The medication should be used alongside other treatments, including calcium supplements and vitamin D, to prevent bone disease. High blood phosphorus can lead to calcification, causing hard deposits to form in blood vessels and restricting blood flow.
Do not take Sevocip 800mg tablet if you are allergic to Sevelamer or any other ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medicine if you have low phosphate levels or bowel obstruction.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Notify your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing or if your stomach and bowel have problems with food movement. Also inform your doctor if you currently have bowel inflammation or have undergone major stomach or bowel surgery.
Sevocip 800mg tablet is not recommended for children under six years of age, as safety and efficacy data in this age group are limited. If your doctor has advised you about sugar intolerance, consult your doctor before taking this medication, as it contains lactose.

How it works
Sevocip 800mg tablet functions by binding phosphate from ingested food within the digestive tract, thereby reducing phosphorus levels in the bloodstream.
How to Use
Take the Sevocip 800mg tablet as your physician advises. Take medicine at a fixed time. It is given based on the level of phosphate in the blood. Usually, it is given three times a day with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises.
