Product Introduction
Sibofix 200mg Tablet contains Rifaximin as its active ingredient. It is an antibiotic used to treat traveller’s diarrhoea caused by non-invasive strains of Escherichia coli in adults. It is also prescribed to reduce the recurrence of overt hepatic encephalopathy, a condition involving impaired brain function associated with liver disease. Depending on the patient's condition, Sibofix 200mg Tablet may be used alone or in combination with medicines containing lactulose.
It should also be avoided if you have an intestinal blockage, fever, bloody stools, or have experienced more than eight unformed bowel movements within the past 24 hours. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver disease or any other underlying medical condition. This medicine is not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years of age. Common side effects include headache, swelling of the feet or legs, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and abdominal bloating. Inform your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine. In case of an accidental overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

How it works
