Product Introduction

Soliact 5mg Tablet is a urinary antispasmodic medication belonging to the muscarinic receptor antagonist class, containing Solifenacin Succinate as the active ingredient. It is indicated for managing symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB), a condition characterised by sudden, frequent, and involuntary urges to urinate, often accompanied by increased urinary frequency (passing urine more often than normal) and urinary urgency (a pressing and immediate need to urinate). Patients with OAB may experience these symptoms even when the bladder contains minimal urine, creating a sense of urgency that can be difficult to control.

Soliact 5mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Solifenacin Succinate or any excipient in the formulation. This medication may exacerbate urinary retention (inability to empty the bladder completely). Use with caution in patients at risk of urinary retention, and treatment discontinuation should be considered if urinary retention develops. Inform your physician of any existing kidney or liver disease. Your physician may recommend a reduced dose and arrange for regular blood tests to monitor treatment.

Use of Soliact 5mg Tablet during pregnancy is generally not recommended unless clinically necessary. Breastfeeding is not advisable while taking this medication, as it may affect the nursing infant. Do not breastfeed whilst on this medicine. This tablet contains lactose. If you have been diagnosed with a rare hereditary disorder of galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or Lapp lactase deficiency, do not use this medication.

Uses

Treat the symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB)

How it works

Soliact 5mg Tablet works by blocking the action of a specific type of receptor called muscarinic receptor in the bladder. By blocking these receptors, this drug helps to relax the bladder muscles, reduce bladder contractions, and increase the bladder's capacity to hold urine.

How to Use

Take the Soliact 5mg Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.
