Soliqua Solostar Injection

Soliqua Solostar Injection contains insulin glargine and lixisenatide, which are a long-acting insulin and a glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist respectively. It works to control blood glucose levels and increase insulin production in the body. It also slows the absorption of glucose from food. The injection is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults and to control abnormal blood glucose levels. When other medicines have not adequately controlled high blood glucose, Soliqua Solostar Injection may be given alongside metformin and/or sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to insulin glargine, lixisenatide, or any other ingredients in this medicine. Speak with your healthcare provider if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, heart problems, pancreatitis, or stomach or gut problems. Inform your doctor if you have severe kidney disease or are receiving dialysis treatment. It is advisable to speak with your doctor and monitor your blood glucose level before using this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are an elderly patient or have kidney or liver problems, as this will help them adjust your dose appropriately. The safety and effectiveness of this medicine in children and adolescents under 18 years of age have not been established.
