Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus

Product Introduction

Sulisent 100mg Tablet contains canagliflozin, an active substance belonging to SGLT2 inhibitors, a class of blood-glucose-lowering drugs. It helps remove excess sugar through urine and is indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes. This medicine manages blood sugar when diet and exercise alone are insufficient and may support weight management and cardiovascular health over time. It can be prescribed as monotherapy or in combination with other diabetes treatments.

Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body does not use insulin effectively or produce sufficient quantities, resulting in elevated blood sugar levels. Prolonged uncontrolled diabetes can lead to heart disease, kidney damage, blindness, and nerve complications. Many patients with type 2 diabetes consider Sulisent 100mg as part of a comprehensive diabetes management strategy to reduce these risks.

As with all medications, Sulisent 100mg may cause side effects. These include increased urination, thirst, dehydration, and mild genital infections. These effects are typically manageable; however, patients should maintain adequate hydration and report any unusual symptoms to their healthcare provider.

Sulisent 100mg Tablet should be avoided in certain circumstances and medical conditions. It is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Inform your healthcare provider if you are allergic to canagliflozin or any tablet ingredient. Report lactose intolerance, as this medicine contains lactose as a component. Consult your doctor regarding dehydration prevention, particularly if you experience dizziness, weakness, or dry mouth. Inform your doctor of any history of ketoacidosis or if you experience it during treatment. If you have severe kidney or liver disease, a history of heart disease, stroke, or low blood pressure, discuss these conditions with your healthcare professional. Patients with recurrent urinary or genital infections should also consult their doctor before starting this medicine.

Some patients may explore alternative options depending on availability or tolerance.
