Product Introduction
Swelfre solution contains Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, and Menthol. It belongs to the non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class and is used to relieve joint pain associated with arthritis. Arthritis is characterised by enlargement and sensitivity of one or more joints, marked by joint pain and rigidity that typically increase with age. Diclofenac works by inhibiting the release of specific chemical messengers in the brain responsible for pain and inflammation, which causes redness and swelling. Methyl salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics that produce an initial cooling sensation followed by warmth. This cooling and warming action enhances blood circulation and provides pain relief through distraction.
Do not use Swelfre solution if you are allergic to Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Celecoxib, other NSAIDs, or any other ingredient in this medication. Before using this product, inform your doctor if you have asthma triggered by aspirin (previous breathing difficulties with nasal symptoms following aspirin or NSAID use), liver disease, or gastrointestinal issues including bleeding or ulcers. Notify your doctor if you have or have had heart disease, kidney disease, hypertension, a history of stroke, oedema or fluid retention, blood disorders such as anaemia, clotting or bleeding disorders, or nasal polyps. This medication may cause stomach bleeding. Daily alcohol consumption and tobacco use while taking this medication may increase the risk of stomach bleeding. To minimise this risk, reduce alcohol intake and stop smoking.
